Henry C. Jones

COLERAIN - Henry Clifton Jones, 85, a native of Hertford County, died April 
12, 2008 at Brian Center in Windsor.

Jones, a retired farmer, and a member of Christian Harbor Baptist Church was 
the son of Nora Webb Ellis and Thomas Melvin Jones .He was born Sept. 4, 1922 
in Hertford Co.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel Morgan Jones; one daughter, Kay J. Early of 
Apex, two sons, Roger Jones of Colerain and Edmond, Jones of Mobile, AL; one 
sister; Nora Newbern of Ahoskie; nine grandchildren; and eight great-
grandchildren.

A graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Highland Memorial 
Gardens in Ahoskie with Rev. Billy Presley. Memorial donations may be made to 
Trap Volunteer Fire Department C/O Herman E. Davidson, Jr. 1401 Meadow Road 
Colerain, NC. 27824. Garrett Funeral Home- Ashley Chapel 205 NC Highway 42 
West, Ahoskie is serving the Jones Family.
