Edenton Gazette   Friday, Nov. 11, 1808
   DIED, at his residence in Hertford County, on the 31st ult., after an 
illness, which he bore manly and becoming fortitude, ROBERT MONTGOMERY, ESQ. --
 As a statesman, a gentleman, and a most amiable man in private life, he 
filled a large space in society.
