ERVIN SAMUEL MORGAN

   SEDLEY – A funeral service for Ervin Samuel Morgan was conducted Friday at 3 
p.m. in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield by the Rev. George Ports. Burial was 
in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley.

   Pallbearers were Robert Ricks, Bernard Smith, Bill Jones, James Ellis, Johnny 
Saunders, James A. Bulls and R.C. Bulls.

   Morgan, 63, died Wednesday night in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin, 
after an illness of six weeks.

   A native of Nash County, N.C., he was the husband of Mrs. Janie Collins 
Morgan and a son of Lawrence and Mrs. Cora Morgan.

   He was a retired carpenter and member of the Grace Methodist Church.

   Surviving, besides his widow, are a daughter, Mrs. Wilma Sledge of Sedley; a 
son, Ervin Morgan of Route 1, Courtland; a stepson, Elmo Bass of Charlotte, 
N.C.; and a granddaughter.

   Surviving, besides his widow, are a daughter, Mrs. Wilmer Sledge of Sedley; a 
son, Ervin E. Morgan of Rt. 1, Courtland; and stepson, Elmer Bass of Charlotte, 
N.C.; 2 granddaughters, Miss Betty Gray Bass and Miss Shirley Lawrence; four 
brothers, Charlie Morgan, Garysburg, N.C., Vannie Earl Morgan, Spring Hope, 
N.C., Melvin Morgan, Nashville, N.C., William Morgan, Bailey, N.C.; four 
sisters, Mrs. J.E. Winstead, Wake Forest, N.C., Mrs. Junior Taylor, Nashville, 
N.C., Mrs. Hubert Bryant, Bailey, N.C., and Mrs. Mark Cooper, Spring Hope, N.C.
