CORA DERBY PARKER

   Mrs. Cora Parker, 79, a former resident of Franklin, died on Tuesday, 
February 10, in a Richmond hospital of a heart attack.

   Mrs. Parker, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Derby of Hertford 
County, North Carolina, lived near Franklin with the family of S.M. Joyner for 
some years.

   She is survived by a stepson, Norman Parker, of Ahoskie, N.C., a niece, 
Mrs. Carrie Kallouseian of Richmond, and a nephew, W.B. Joyner of Weldon, N.C.

   Funeral services were held at two o’clock Thursday afternoon in the family 
cemetery near Trapp, Hertford County, N.C.
