CAROLINA DEATHS

  COMO, N.C. - Jan. 7 - Mrs. Rosalind Darden Picot, wife of Guy Carleton Picot, 
died late today at the family residence here after an illness of several months. 
She was a daughter of the late Rufus Edwards Darden and Mrs. Martha Rebecca 
Barham Darden, both of Southampton county, and was a member of Buckhorn Baptist 
Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by five daughters, Miss Antoinette 
Vann Picot, Miss Marion Barham Picot, Miss Marietta Blount Picot, and Miss Hannah 
Barham Picot, all of Como, and Mrs. Vernon Tucker, of Suffolk, Va.; three sons, 
Hugh Baird Picot, of Como, Guy C. Picot, Jr., of Richmond, Va., and Harvey Baylis 
Picot, of Franklin, Va.; and four grandchildren. the body was removed to the 
Holland Funeral Home, Murfreesboro, pending funeral arrangements.

CAROLINA FUNERALS

  COMO, N.C. - Funeral services for Mrs. Rosalind Darden Picot, wife of Guy 
Carleton Picot, who died Monday afternoon will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at 
Buckhorn Baptist Church with the Rev. E. Norfleet Gardner, pastor of Henderson 
Baptist Church officiating, assisted by the Rev. John E. Lanier, pastor of the 
Kinston Baptist Church. Burial will be in Buckhorn Cemetery. the body will be 
taken to the church at noon and will be in state until time of the funeral.
