Born in Como, N.C., on Aug. 21, 1907, the daughter of the late Guy Carleton and Rosalind Darden Picot, she lived there throughout her life. An active, dedicated, faithful and faith-filled member of Buckhorn Baptist Church in Como, Miss Picot was a choir member and a WMU member; she taught Sunday School until just recently. Her devotion to family was second only to her devotion to God and church. She will be lovingly remembered by all those whose lives she touched.
