HALLETTE E. PICOT

   Funeral services for Hallette E. Picot were held in Wilmington, N.C., August 
16 by Father Manley of St. Mary’s Church and Dr. Barden of Temple Baptist 
Church.

   He was born in Como, Hertford County, N.C., July 24, 1900, the son of Guy C. 
and Mrs. Rosalind Darden Picot, members of prominent families of Hertford 
County, N.C., and Southampton County, Va.

   He was a widely known salesman in Eastern North Carolina. He successes his 
brother Scarboro C. Picot with Temple Garden Co. and has been employed for the 
past ten years as representative of Borden Sales Co.

   He was married to Rose Allen of Wilmington, N.C., June 5, 1928, and since 
that time had made his home in Wilmington, N.C.

   Honorary pallbearers were: John S. McEashern, Davis Spiers, E.L. White, 
William Mahler, J.O. Reilly, C.W. Gardner, O.J. Ketscher, J.R. Hart, Donald 
Spiers and Guy Hill. Active: Kyle Bannerman, Charles Berger, James Westerman, 
Sanford Doxey, A.J. Creasy and E.W. Carr.

   He is survived by his widow, a small daughter, his parents and the following 
brothers and sisters; Misses Antoinette, Marietta, Marian, Rebie and Hannah; 
Hugh, Carr and Harvey Picot.

   The large floral offering was a token of the high esteem in which he was held 
by all who knew him.
