REGINALD H. POTTS Rev. Reginald H. Potts, a prominent member of the Virginia M.E. Conference, died in a Norfolk hospital February 28, 1931. He was an active minister of the conference for 48 years dying in harness as was his desire, being at the time of his death Presiding Elder of the Norfolk District. He was at one time Presiding Elder of the Portsmouth District and is well and favorably known all over the district. He is survived by his second wife, who was Miss Annie Moore of the Como community, also by nine children, two of the sons being active member of the Virginia M.E. Conference, several grandchildren and two brothers. The funeral was conducted from Ghent M.E. Church, Norfolk, Monday morning after which the body was taken to Richmond for burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The following ministers took part in the service; Revs. R.M. White, T. McN. Simpson, J.T. Bosman, George Booker, T.A. Smoot and Bishop W.B. Beauchamp, all other ministers present were honorary pallbearers along with a number of prominent laymen. The body bearers were: Revs. H.P. Myers, W.T. Green, S.C. Hatcher, G.M. Bishop, J.D. McAlister and J.A. Chapman.
