William E. Sears

William E. Sears, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, 
passed away January 24, 1999. He was born in Ahoskie, North Carolina 
to Hersey Frank and Zellor Odell Brown Sears. He married Melba Stahle 
March 24, 1951. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake 
Temple. He served in several callings in the LDS Church. He served in 
the U.S. Army during World War II and was a retired civil servant from 
Hill Air Force Base. 

Survivors include his wife; son, Dennis (Eileen) Sears, Provo; 
daughter, Susan (Daniel) Dyer, Salt Lake; 12 grandchildren 
(three grandsons are currently serving LDS missions); four 
sisters and one brother. He was preceded in death by one sister 
and two brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 29, 1999 at 11 a.m. 
in the Springview Ward, 711 E. Jepson (3280 So.) Friends may call 
Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary 5850 South 900 East, 
and one hour prior to the services at the Church. 
Interment: Mt. View Memorial Estates.
