WILBERT LEE SPENCE

   Wilbert Lee Spence, 44, a dairy man on Hunterdale Farms, near Franklin, 
died Tuesday night from injuries received Monday afternoon while he was at 
work.

   Spence was the husband of Rosetta Martin Spence, of Franklin, and son of 
Helen Pink Wright and the late Benjamin Watkins Spence, of Brunswick County. 
He was a member of the Union Congregational Christian Church, of Hunterdale.

   Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Wilbert Lee Spence, Jr., USA, 
stationed in Korea; and Aubrey Spence and Thelma Joyce Spence, both of 
Keysville; one grandchild, two brothers, Luther Spence of Virginia Beach; 
Grady Spence of New Bern, N.C.; two sisters Loris Kidd of Raleigh, N.C., and 
Miss Shirley Morris of Silver City, N.C.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

   Funeral services will be in the chapel of the W.J.M. Holland and Sons 
Funeral Home on Friday at 2:00 p.m.  The Rev. Clyde Fields will officiate.  
Interment will be in Milwaukee, N.C.
