THE TIDEWATER NEWS – 09-15-1960, SECT.2, P. 4

   Paul Stephens, painter, was found dead Sunday morning. Death was due to a 
heart attack while asleep.

   Son of the late W.R. and Ida Tucker Stephens of Stokes County, N.C., he was 
a member of Buckhorn Baptist Church, Como, N.C.

   Survivors include one son, Irvin Lee Stephens, U.S. Navy; three daughters, 
Mrs. Sylvia Parker, Misses Rose and Shirley Stephens, all of Como, N.C.; four 
sisters, Mrs. Sophronia Hicks and Mrs. Willie Koontz, both of Leaksville, 
N.C.; Mrs. Della Burnette of Newport News and Mrs. Nellie Collins of Roanoke; 
two brothers, Robert S. Stephens of Leaksville, N.C., and Ervin Stephens of 
Bassett.

   The body was taken to Leaksville, N.C., for funeral services Tuesday 
afternoon with burial in the Leaksville cemetery.
