MYRTLE SYKES

Miss Myrtle Sykes Dies Last Night
Miss Myrtle Sykes, aged 21, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Sykes, died at the 
home of her parents, 311 Bank Street, last night at 10:40 o’clock after an 
illness of several weeks.
Miss Sykes is survived by her parents and one sister, Miss Dorothy Sykes, of 
Suffolk; her grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Phillips, of Miami, Fla., and several 
uncles and aunts.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11 o’clock at St. Mary’s 
Catholic Church, conducted by Father M. F. Igoe.
The body will be carried by motor to Enfield, N. C., for interment in the Cedar 
Hill cemetery in that city.
