She was a native and lifelong resident of Hertford County and a beloved member of Buckhorn Baptist Church. For many years she was connected with the education system in Hertford County. Miss Taylor was the daughter of the late William E. Taylor and Manda Cobb Taylor both formerly of Hertford County. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Howell, and a brother, J.C. Taylor, both of the Como community. Funeral services were held from Buckhorn Baptist Church in Como Sunday afternoon at 3:30 with the Rev. J.E. Lanier, pastor, conducting, assisted by the Rev. R.D. Stephenson, pastor of Franklin Baptist Church and the Rev. E. Norfleet Gardner, pastor of Henderson Baptist Church. Interment was made in the family plot in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Howell, Roanoke Rapids; P.D. Howell and Bruce Sumner of Como; W. Dare Boone, Winston, N.C.; Wharton Williams, Franklin, William Taylor, Como, Franklin Williams, Roanoke Rapids; and P.H. Jenkins, Como.
