I, P. 8 JULIAN KINDRED VANN Julian Kindred Vann, 69, well-known farmer of the Holland community, died Saturday morning, January 12, in a Richmond hospital after an illness for several months. He was the son of the late Richard and Ellen Liverman Vann, of Hertford County, N.C., and a member of Meherrin Baptist Church. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Maggie Vann of Holland; four sons, Julian E. Vann of Washington, N.C., Ray and Vinson Vann, both of Norfolk, and Lonnie Vann of Holland; two daughters, Mrs. Lucille McDonald of Little Creek and Mrs. Doris Burke of Hyattsville, Md., six brothers, Henry Vann of George, N.C., Sam Dick and Tullie Vann, all of Murfreesboro, N.C., Everett Vann of Franklin and Odian Vann of Portsmouth; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Belle Vinson and Mrs. Becky Vinson, both of Murfreesboro, 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces. Funeral services were held from the Meherrin Baptist Church on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. by his pastor, Rev. Jarvis Teague, assisted by the former pastor, Rev. J.M. Duncan, and Rev. Dorsie Phillips of the Church of God. Burial was made in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers were Douglas Vinson, Jr., Robert F. Stradley, Claude Vann, James Karns, Robert Crumpler, Richard Vann, Doc Vinson, Billy Vaughan Garris.
