WILLIAM ROBERT VANN

   Funeral services for William Robert Vann, 56, who died Monday morning, June 
21 in the Veterans’ Administration Hospital at Kecoughtan after several weeks 
of declining health, were held Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock at the 
Holland Funeral Home in Murfreesboro, N.C., with Rev. J.M. Duncan, pastor of 
the Meherrin Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in the Garris family 
cemetery near Murfreesboro.

   Mr. Vann was well known in the Murfreesboro community. A veteran of World 
War I, he was the son of the late R.B. and Sarah Elizabeth Liverman Vann of 
Northampton County, N.C.

   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Mae Garriss Vann of Murfreesboro; 
two sisters, Mrs. Beckie Vinson and Mrs. Douglas Vinson, both of Murfreesboro; 
and seven brothers, H.T. Vann of Woodland, N.C., W.E. Vann and J.K. Vann of 
Franklin, A.L. Vann of Portsmouth, and S.C. Vann. E.E. Vann and T.B. Vann of 
Murfreesboro.
