DAVID LITTON WEST

David Litton West, 78, of Route 4, died Jan. 11, 2000, in Roanoke Chowan 
Hospital. Born in Norfolk, he was a retired farmer and the widower of Addie 
Marie Pierce West. Mr. West was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member 
of Hickory Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Carol McCaskey of Carrsville, Va., Eunice Fay 
Ward of Robersonville, N.C., and Patricia Lineberger of Ahoskie; two sons, David 
Lee West of Cofield and Edward Leon West of Lumberton, N.C.; four sisters, Irene 
Small of Hertford, N.C., Eunice Mott Jr. of Chesapeake, Martha Skinner of West 
Port, Md., and Elizabeth Tarkenton of Grandy, N.C.; a brother, George West of 
Chesapeake; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, by the 
Rev. Robert May. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will 
receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
