Mrs Virginia Bridger Whedbee, 74
VIRGINIA B. WHEDBEE

Virginia Bridger Whedbee, 74, of Route 3, a farmer, died April 5, 1990, in 
an Ahoskie hospital.

Mrs. Whedbee, a native of Hertford County, was the widow of Glenn Basnight 
Whedbee. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.

Survivors a daughter, Maria E.W. Orta of Norfolk; a son, Robson D.B. Whedbee 
of Ahoskie; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Mount Tabor Baptist Church. Burial 
will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may join the family today at 504 W. 
First St., Ahoskie, and from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Garrett Funeral Home, 
Murfreesboro. On Saturday friends may visit at the family residence and will 
assemble at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to 
the Mount Tabor Baptist Church building fund or to the Duke University 
Arthritis Foundation.
