Brown's School - 1898

This is the oldest photo received during solicitation of pictures for this 
special section. Taken in 1898, it shows students and teachers at the old 
Brown’s School House in Hertford County. 

Pictured are, front row from left, Dillard Parker, Paul Brett, Mamie Jenkins, 
Mostlie Isreal, Julian Parker, Kelly Vinson, Rufus Story, Wingate Forbes, Ike 
Story, Hugh Storey and Gladston Storey. 

Second row, from left Bessie Vinson, Lila Blowe, Susie Darden, Jessie Jenkins, 
Josie Forbes, Nolie Parker, Blanch Vinson, Arthur Storey, Nannie Blowe, Elmer
