Ball, Ph.D. February 23, 2013 Will of Jane Boon In the Name of God, Amen. I Jane Boon of Hertford County and State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life do therefore make, ordain publish and declare, this to be my last will and testament, that is to say: 1st After all my lawful debts are paid & discharged the residue of my estate real and personal I give bequeath & dispose of as follows to wit: To my beloved son John Nickens thirty five acres of land adjoining the lands of Nancy Cumbs Betsey Lang & the Nickens land, it being a part of my home tract. To my beloved son Patrick Boon thirty five acres of land adjoining the lands of John Nickens, Nancy Cumbs Allie Jones & the Nickens land, it being a part of my home. To my beloved son Marmaduke Boon thirty five acres of land adjoining the lands of Patrick Boon, John Nickens, John W. Faison, Allie Jones & the Nickens land, it being a part of my home tract in the aforesaid county & State containing one hundred and five to be divided as above stated & to their heirs forever To my beloved daughter Betsey Lang one bed & bed clothing And to my beloved Eliza Jane Wiggins one bed and bed clothing or enough to make one. I give bequeath and devise all the rest, residue & remainder of my real and personal estate to the one that takes care of me when I fail to take care of myself & bury me. Likewise I make, constitute and appoint my friend Wm D Newsom to be executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
