Term 1830, we have this day been on the premises petitioned to be drained as well as that through which the Canal is to pass and have examined and find the same necessary and report that we have this day laid off to Caleb SPENCER the following privileges for a Canal, a certian ditch that is now but in part beginning at the head of Far Creek on the North side of the road 12 feet in width and running up the road to the upper end of the plantation belonging to the heirs of Edward SPENCER, from thence with an addition of 5 feet from the upper end of sd. plantation through the lands of the aforesaid heirs of Edward SPENCER to the lands of Caleb SPENCER, being in all 17 feet in width for Canal and bank.
