NORTH CAROLINA                COURT OF PLEAS & QUARTER SESSIONS
Iredell County                 November Term, 1862

SARAH M. LAURANCE
     Vs.
ADOLPHUS A. LAURANCE
WM. H. LONG and wife ADALINE
WM. ROWLES and wife, JULIA               PETITION FOR DOWER
A. M. BOGLE and wife, MARY
ELIZA KING and others

   In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that ADOPHUS A. 
LAURANCE, WM. H. LONG and wife, ADALINE, and WM. ROWLES and wife, JULIA, are 
non-residents of this State; it is therefore ordered by the Court, that 
publication be made for the space of six weeks in the Raleigh Standard, a 
newspaper published in the city of Raleigh for the said non-residents to be 
and appear at the next Court, to be held for the County of Iredell, at the 
Court House in Statesville, on the third Monday in February next, there and 
then to plead, answer or demur to plaintiff's petition in our said Court 
filed, or judgment pro confesso will be taken as to them, and the prayer of 
the petitioner will be granted. Witness M. F. FREELAND, Clerk of our said 
Court at office in Statesville, the third Monday in November, A. D.
