CAPTAIN ANDREW CARSON 
of North Carolina

   Andrew Carson applied for revolutionary pension while living in Iredell
County, N. C., August 22, 1832. He was born March 1, 1756, in Rowan County, N.
C. He volunteered under Captain Joseph Dixson. He served under Captain David
Caldwell in the Cherokee Campaign. He was in the battle of Briar's Creek. He
served as a ranger and at times commanded a company of volunteers.

Note:- His tombstone states that he was a revolutionary soldier and that he died
January 29, 1841.
