18.  Comptroller’s certification concerning military pay


[10 July 1852]		
				State of North Carolina
				Comptroller's Office
I, William J. Clarke, comptroller of public accounts in and for the State 
aforesaid do hereby certify that it appears of record in my office among the 
payments made by said State to sundry persons for Military services in the 
Revolutionary War, as follows, to wit: in addition to the payments in this 
case by heretofore given viz,
	John Dickey
	Vol. C entry 3417 (3 S8 D8 specie
"    A   "   4052 (142 S10  "     Captain John Dickey for Militia services of 
himself and Company
	The above payments were not embraced in my former certificate dated 
April 19th 1852, being found in books lately received from the Pension Office 
in Washington City, which books belonged to this office but were loaned to 
that office, and were not indexed at that time, hence the omission
			In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my 
name and affixed my seal of office this 10th day of July 1852

This certificate now reissued this 28th day of February 1853, the original 
having been lost.
