MORE ABOUT LONGEVITY
There are more old people in Iredell than one would imagine, a friend 
furnishes us the following list of aged ones living on Third Creek: Wm. Mahaly 
is 96 years of age; Joel Kimball, 81; Robert Boyd and wife, 83 and 81; Col. 
Fergus Stevenson, 80; David Eller, 83. Then there are Mrs. Mirah Neill, living 
near Shepherd's X Roads, who is 83; Wm. J. Cavin on Norris Creek, who is 86, 
and Mrs. James Brown of Statesville, the oldest citizen of the place, who is 
between 85 and 90. Mr. Elijah Stone, whose age was given in this paper, two or 
three weeks ago, at 86 or 87, was born Nov. 1, 1791. He is therefore in his 
89th year.
