C., is making arrangements for a large immigration of Poles into North Carolina, and says the prospects are good. A Polish priest will soon make a tour of the state, accompanied by Col. Allen, with this first movement of Poles to the South. Col. Allen says they will make good citizens, and are industrious and well trained. He expects that a large settlement of them will be made at High Shoal, in Gaston County. There will be a large arrival of Poles at New York and Baltimore in the next few months. Five hundred families arrived at Baltimore recently. Col. Allen, who was a nobleman in Poland, has great influence over them.
