WINSLOW KING, a fine promising young man of about 20 years of age, a son of SAMUEL KING of Iredell County, left Fayetteville on Wednesday night last with a heavy loaded wagon, in company with a black man as a driver. The following morning near McDANIEL'S , seven miles from town, on the Morganton Road, in descending a hill, the saddle horse fell and precipitated MR. KING directly in the track of the wagon, the wheels of which passed over his breast and put an instant end to his life. His remains were brought to town on Friday and interred in the burial grouond. It will be some consolation to the afflicted Father to know, that the melancholy fate of his son awakened a general and lively sympathy in the bosoms of the citizens of Fayetteville, and that MR. McDANIEL and his wife, near whose residence the accident occurred evinced the nature and depth of thier feelings, by having provided the means of having his remains interred, properly and decently at McPHERSON'S meeting house, before his friends went out and had them brought to town.
