Linda Sue Skinner Elgin, 61, of River Hill Rd., Statesville, passed away 
Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville following an 
extended illness.

She was born July 8, 1948, in Evansville, Indiana, daughter of the late James 
Skinner and Flora Lynch Skinner. She was employed with a children’s daycare 
and was a member of Connection Church in Statesville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny 
Skinner and George Skinner.

She is survived by a son, Paul Elgin of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Cristene 
Baker and Charity Kluttz, both of Statesville; three brothers, Jimmy Skinner 
of Statesville and Tommy Skinner and Bobby Skinner, both of Florida; two 
sisters, Sonja Maffucci of Statesville and Shirley Vintin of Lincolnton; seven 
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was conducted Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Connection Church 
with Rev. Michael Maffucci officiating.
