Statesville, Sept. 7 - Johnnie Lee Murdock, the 2 year old daughter of Mrs. 
John T. Murdock, died Saturday morning at the home of Mr. C.S. Brawley on 
Greene street after an illness of two weeks. The funeral services were 
conducted at the home Saturday afternoon by Rev. J.H. Pressly and the remains 
were laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery beside the grave of the child's father, 
Mr. John T. Murcock, who died a year or so ago. Mrs. Murdock and children make 
their home with Mr. Brawley, who is Mrs. Murdock's brother.
