Statesville Record and Landmark
  Donna Jo Payne, 55, of 118 South Oak Street, Statesville, died Monday, jan 
13, 2003, at Iredell Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was born 
June 14, 1947 in Iredell County, daughter of the late Willis Henry Payne who 
died in 2001, and Francis Day Payne who died in 1999. Miss Payne was never 
married, she was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She worked as a clerk 
with CVS pharmacy and was a graduate of UNC-Charlotte. She was a water-color 
artist.Miss Payne had shown and sold several of her paintings. She is survived 
by on sister, Beckly L.Huffman  and husband Craige Huffman, two neices 
Jennifer and Lisa Benfield. Graveside services will be held at New Sterling 
ARP Church. Rev. Scott Eanes will officiate.
