Mrs. M. H. Sides Taken By Death
   Mrs. Minnie Holder Sides, 87, died at 11:40 o’clock this morning at her 
home at 310 West Broad Street following a declining period of health for 
several months.
   Mrs. Sides was a native of the Amity Hill section of Iredell and she 
married Lawrence Calvin Sides of Loray, who preceded her in death. She was 
born December 12, 1862, a daughter of the late A. G. and Susan Smith Holder. 
Most of her married life was spent at Loray. She had been living with her 
daughter, Mrs. J. C. Morrison, in Statesville for the past 10 years.
   She is survived by the following children; Mrs. W. A. Watts of Statesville, 
route 5, Mrs. G. M. Boyd of Statesville; Mrs. J. C. Morrison and F. G. and W. 
B. Sides of Statesville, route 2; C. H. and H. C. Sides of Salisbury road; and 
W. L. Sides of Kings Park, N. Y. Also surviving are two brothers, R. L. Holder 
of Texas, and R. A. Holder of New York city; two sisters, Mrs. C. C. Heilig of 
Salisbury and Mrs. G. T. Horton of Mt. Ulla; six grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.
   Funeral arrangements are incomplete at present. The body is at Bunch 
Funeral Home.
