The following taken from Lois M. P. Schneider's "Abstracts of Unrecorded 
Wills, 1788-1915 and Will Book III, 1845-1868 of Iredell County, North 
Carolina."  Statesville N.C.:

ANNA HOUSTON					4 Nov. 1828
Being far advanced in life, frail and feeble".  Niece Anne, wife of James 
Gamble of Tennessee to have three negroes Ceaser, Nancey and Abbey.  Furniture 
to be divided among Anne Gamble and my sisters Rebecca Dickey and Elizabeth 
Gamble.  Negroes Moses and Lucy and my plantation where I now live to be 
divided between bros. and sisters, Viz:  James Patterson, Alexander Patterson, 
Elizabeth Gamble and Rebecca Dickey.  Executors to erect a tombstone at my 
grave.  Executor:  Friend Absalom K. Simonton.  Wit:   Fergus Stevenson, 
William Stevenson
