This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Elsie Arcuri bmbranches@bigfoot.com ==================================================================== Elijah Marlow Iredell County Will Bk-II Page 252 Recorded Nov Term 1842 In the name of God Amen I Elijah Marlow of the County Iredell and State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory blessed be God for the same do make this my last will and testament in manner and form as follows that is to say to be buried in a Christian like manner at the discretion of my executors and after paying my just debts what little worldly affairs I wish to dispose of as follows I give unto my Son William Marlow one Negro boy named Martin Notis: I give unto Daniel Casey one dollar and no more and to his two daughters Emeline and Patience three dollars a piece and no more Notis: I give unto Mary Smith one Negro girl named Harriet to the heirs of her body Notis: I give unto my Son Barton Marlow one hundred dollars in the hands of my executors to give unto him as he stands in need Notis: I give unto my daughter Patsey Marlow one Negro girl named Louisa one chest one table one bed three plates and one dishware one basin one cow Also my Negro woman Selah and her child to be sold among my children William Marlow, Ranard Marlow, Mary Smith, and Patsy Marlow for the use of paying of Barton Marlow and all other just debts and the balance to be divided among those children mentioned heretofore William Marlow, Ranard Marlow, Mary Smith, Patsy Marlow and I hereby make and ordain my worthy friends William Marlow & William Smith Executors of this my last will and testament.
