I Thomas Marlow of the County of Iredell & State of North Carolina, being of sound mind and memory, Blessed be God. Do this 22nd day of November in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred & Four make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following. That is to say: First of all, I reccomend my soul to God who gave & my Body to its native dust, to be buried in a Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executors. And as to my worldly goods that it hath been please God to bless me with my will and desire is that they be disposed of as follows. I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Sarah Marlow two milk cows, her choice of the stock, two work horses with the plantations tools, ten head of hogs, four head of sheep, also two feather beds & furniture and the one half of my cupboard & kitchen furniture. I also lend unto my said wife the use and profits of my dwelling house and plantation with the use of two negroes to wit: George and Mary, during her natural life & after her decease to be considered as part of my estate to be disposed of as hereafter directed. Item: I give and bequeath unto Littleberry Bray the sum of five Shilling Sterling. Item: I give unto the heirs of sd. Bray the sum of five Shillings. Item: The whole of my estate real and personal, that is not already bequeathed, my will & desire is that it be equallly divided between my children hereafter named. That is to say: (The Children or Legal Representatives of Priscilla Edwards deceased, to be entitled to the same as she would were she yet alive) Patsy Pendry, Robert Marlow, Anna Wiles, Elijah Marlow, Thomas Marlow, and John Marlow. And in order that each of the above named children may have an equal portion, I direct that those of them that I have put in possession of any property in my life time shall before they are entitled to their portion, give an account of such estate to my Executors hereafter named, that an equal division may be had, and should any upon exibiting such account (or it should otherwise be made appear that he or her has had more than their rateable part) then and in that case he or they to repay back such sums as may be found over their equal part. And in order for the better execution of this my last will and testament, I make and ordain my son Elijah Marlow & Thomas Wiles Executors of this my last will.
