JACKSON COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Cleophas "Ophie" Willis, 24 Mar 2004

SYLVA - Cleophas "Ophie" Willis, 90, formerly of Spruce Pine, died 
Wednesday, Mar. 24, 2004. He was the son of the late Marion Jackson 
and Betty Huskins Willis. He was a member of First Baptist Church of 
Sylva, and a former member of First Baptist Church of Spruce Pine.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Brown Willis of the home; daughters, 
Patricia Newman of Sylva, and Dianna Parham of Asheville; a son, James 
Paul Willis of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren; seven great 
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church 
of Spruce Pine. Dr. David Vess officiated. Burial was in Lily Branch 
Cemetery. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour 
at the church. Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine was in charge of 
arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Jackson 
County, American Cancer Society, or the American Heart Association.
