Lunsford Richardson From Johnston Co. Marriage Records: Married 13 Dec 1836 ------------------- The following information is contributed by Clois Richardson: cloisrich@sbcglobal.net: In the open space around it is also supposed to be about 5-15 other family members who supposedly had wooden markers in place and when a flood came many years ago the markers were washed away. I think I know who most of them were though. I also have photos of the markers. This was the location of the old John Richardson Plantation named "The Oaks". The Atkinson Mill across the Little River was also part of this plantation. This Lunsford Richardson's father was drowned in a flood in the river. This Lunsford is the one who invented Vicks Salve. He died in San Francisco on a business trip. ______________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
