Barzilla Blackmon Estate, 1838

Map of land division
The above plan represents the lands on which Brazilla Blackmon lived at the 
time of his death lying chiefly in the said county of Johnston and partley in 
Sampson County and on the south side of Mill Creek and on the west side of 
Bushes Swamp and on both sides of Maple Branch and in Maple and Windfall 
Pocosons containing twelve hundred and five acres.
August 23rd, 1838

To the worshipful the Justice of the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions for 
the county of Johnston. In obedience to an order of the county court held on 
the fourth Monday in May last to us the undersigned commissioners directed to 
divide and appropriate the lands of Barzilla Blackman decd late of this county 
amongst the lawful heirs (namely) Lucy (or Lecy) wife of Lewis Fail, Darian 
wife of John Hudson, Bennett Blackman, Barzilla C. Blackman, Patsey Blackman 
and Edwin Blackman. (The lots with all the metes and bounds are shown in this 
record)

All of which is respectably submitted given under our hands and seals this the 
7th day of August AD 1838. John Eason, Joel Lee, Wm. Eldridge and John __.
