JOHNSTON COUNTY 
August  Term, 1816

WILLIAM BRANNON

         Vs.

HEIRS OF TIMOTHY DUCK, deceased

Original Attachment: 

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendants, ROBERT 
DUCK, THADDEUS DUCK, LEE DUCK, TIMOTHY DUCK, BERRY DUCK, NANCY DUCK and  ALEY 
DUCK are not within the reach of the process of the Court, the sheriff 
returned, levied this attachment on one tract of land adjoining JOHN WHITLEY’S 
land, ARCHIBALD VINSON’S and EPHRAIM THOMPSON’S, supposed to be one hundred 
acres, lying on the Cypress Drain, 300 acres more adjoining the same tract and 
lying on the Cypress Drain.  It is therefore ordered by the Court that 
publication be made three months in the Raleigh Minerva, that unless the said 
defendant appear at the  next term of this Court to replevy their said lands 
and plead to the said action, judgment final will be entered up against him.
