STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA -- Johnston County -- Court of Pleas and Quarter 
Sessions, Aug. Term A.D. 1860. HAYWOOD JOHNSTON, V.A. JOHNSTON and wife vs. 
ALVIN JOHNSTON, Adm'r of JOHN JOHNSTON et al. Petition for Distribution
It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that ROBBIN JOHNSTON, one of the 
defendents in this cause is a non-resident of this state, it is therefore, on 
motion, ordered by the Court, that publication be made for six successive 
weeks in the North Carolina Standard notifying the said defendent to appear at 
the next term of said Court to be held at the Court House in Smithfield, on 
the 4th Monday in November next then and there to answer, plead or demur, 
otherwise the petition will be heard ex-parte as to him.
Witness, THOMAS D. SNEAD, Clerk of said Court, at office in Smithfield, the 
4th Monday of August A.D. 1860.
