By order of a judgment of the Superior Court of Johnston County in an action for foreclosure of mortgage entitled Annie Moore Parker plaintiff against Wm. N. Rose & Sarah Rose his wife, and John W. Rose and Susan A. Rose his wife, and D. W. Fuller, defendants, I will sell at public auction at the Court House door in Smithfield on the 9th day of March, 1896, the following described land and premises, to wit: that tract of land in Bentonville Township, Johnston County, NC occupied in February 1885 by said Wm. N. Rose and wife as a home and farm containing 177 acres, more or less, and bounded north by land of John W. Rose, east by Mill Creek, separating it from the land of the Langston legatees, south by the dower land of Mrs. Elizabeth Gainey and west by land of J. B. Hood, the heirs of Jesse Blackman deceased and others. Also a second tract in the same township which was occupied by said John W. Rose and wife in February 1885, as a home and farm containing 158 acres, more or less, and bounded north by land of Jeremiah L. George, east by the run of Mill Creek, separating it from lands of Isaac Langston legates, south by land of said W. N. Rose (described above), and west by land of Jeremiah L. Langston. Terms of Sale: 25% cash, balance on a credit of six months with interest from day of sale. The whole will be accepted in cash should purchaser prefer to pay cash. This Feb. 6, 1896 P. T. Massey being duly sworn, says, that a copy of the within notice was posted at the Court House door in Smithfield, at the Post Office in Smithfield, at Fuller and Lemay’s Livery Stable in Smithfield and at Benson, Johnston County, NC for 30 days immediately proceeding day of sale therein stated the same having been posted on 6th day of February 1896.
