Johnston County, NC - W.H. Rose to John Harper, Power of Attorney, 1837 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Johnston County Registry Book W #2, pg 194 Know all men by these presents that I, W.H. Rose of the County of Johnston, and State of North Carolina, have made, authorized, nominated and appointed, and by these presents do make, nominate and appoint John Harper of the County and State aforesaid, my Attorney for me, and in my name, and to my use, to enter into and take possession of all such lands, tenements, hereditaments and real estate whatsoever in the County of Johnston and State of North Carolina whereof I am now or hereafter may be by right of inheritance, discent or otherwise hereof the estate of James Rose deceased, and also for me and in my name, to grant, bargain and sell, alein, __ the same messuages land, tenemtents and hereditaments, or any part, or portion thereof, and all such right, title, interest claim and demands both in law and equity, as I may have in the same for such a price, and on such terms as to him shall seem meet, and for me and in my name to make execute and deliver good sufficient deeds and conveyances for the same, and every part thereof, either with or without covenant and warranty - and until the sale thereof for me and in my name and for my use to let and demise the same real estate or any part thereof for the best rent that can be gotten for the same, and I hereby ratify, allow and confer all and every whatsoever my said attorney shall do or cause to be done in and about the messuages by virtue of these presents In witness whereof, I have here subscribed my name and affixed my seal, this 10th day of November, A.D. 1837 Joel Griffis W.H.
