Carolina in Johnston of the one part and Hardy Hinton of the county and province af~d of the other part witnesseth that the said John Bedingfield for an in consideration of the sum of Two hundred pounds proc money to him in hand paid by the said Hardy Hinton before the ensealing of these presents the receipt thereof & the sd John Bedingfield do hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part & parvel thereof doth fully clearly & absolutely aquit exonerate & discharge the said Hardy Hinton his heirs ex~ ad~ by these presents & for divers good (___________) and consideration, (___________) (_____________) hath granted bargained and sold aliened (_______________) and confirmed unto the said Hardy Hinton his heirs ex~ ad~ or assigns a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres more or less loying on the south side of Nuse River in Johnston County being the land the said Hinton now lives on beginning below his plantation at a ash running a So W~ course to a Maple in the Branch the Branch is the dividing up to the back line then running a No. course to the River on a Red Oak which sd land was granted to John Bedingfield by a deed the 13 day of Nov~ 1759 with all woods waters (__________) Revers fishings remainder of remainders thereof and of eery part and parcel thereof and all the estate rite or title thereof to the sd~ Hardy Hinton his heirs ex~ad~ or assigns to have and to hold the said one hundred acres of land more or less and all an singular other the premises therin before mentioned or intended to be hereby granted with his and every of his appertenances unto the said Hardy Hinton his heirs ex~ ad~ or assigns forever & the sd~ John Bedingfield my heirs ex~ ad~ do agree to and with the said Hardy Hinton his heirs ex~ ad~ or assigns that the said John Bedingfield at or before ensealing & delivery of these presents is and stands lawfully (___________) of and in (__________) estate in fee simple and hath good rights full powers and lawfull authority to grant seal & convvey the saim and that the land is free & clear from all other gifts grants titles, dowry or rents and from all manner of incumbrances whatsoever that hath or may claim any right or title thereto and I the said John Bedinfield do further oblige my self my heirs executors ad~ unto the sd Hardy Hinton his heirs ex~ ad~ or assigns that the said John Bedingfield will make any other deed or any other instrument in writing for the better surety of the above (___________) premises as by the said Hardy Hinton his heirs ex~ ad~ or assigns or his or their counsel learned in the law shall be reasonably (___________) (_____________) or require in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand affixed my seal the day and year first above written.
