Jesse FLOWID, of Wayne Co., NC & William SPENCER of Johnston Co., NC

This Indenture made his 3rd day January 1816, Between Jesse FLOWID of the County 
of Wayen & State of North Carolina of the One part & William SPENCER  of the 
County of Johnston & State aforesaid of the other Part. Witnesseth that for & in 
Consideration of the sum of Eighty Dollars lawful money of this State to one in 
hand paid or secured by the sd. William SPENCER before the unsealing & 
delivering of their tenants the recipe whereof I bind myself my heirs Executors 
administrators & assigns firmly by these presents do Grant Bargain & Sell unto 
the said Wm. SPENCER a certain tract or parcel of Land situated lying & being in 
the county of Johnston & State aforesaid on the South side of Little River on 
Burn? Stocking Swamp, Including the Wartering? Holes, Beginning at a White Oak 
on the Northside of Burn Stocking and runs thence West One hundred & twenty 
severn Poles to a pine thence South One hundred & twenty seven poles to a pine 
near a pond thence East one hundred & twenty seven poles to a pine thence North 
to the first Station Containing by estimation One Hundred Acres be the same more 
or less. Together with all Mines, Minerals, Hereditaments thereunto belonging or 
otherwise appertaining & I the sd. Jesse FLOWED do for myself my Heirs 
Executors, Administrators & Assigns, warrant & forever defend all the Lawful 
Claim or Claims of any person or persons whatsoever to the sd. Wm. SPENCER and 
his Heirs forever. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my 
Seal the day & year first above written in the presence of:

Then was the Execution of this Deed duly proven in Open court by the Oath of
