To all to whom these Presents shall come Greeting know ye that we for 
and in consideration of the sum of fifty shillings for every hundred
acres hereby granted paid into our Treasury by James Rose - grant a
tract of land containing one hundred acres lying in the County of
Johnston on the south side of Mill Creek on the great branch joining
Bryant Lynches line, his own and John Fails line, Joseph Langston
Senr line, entered 25th December 1798

Witness: Benjamin Williams, Esquire our Governor Captain General and
Commander in chief at Raleigh the 13th day of November in the twenty
sixth year of our Independence and in the year of our Lord one 
thousand eight hundred and one
