Indenture made 30 Oct 1858 between Ezekiel Stevens of Johnston Co to Barnabas S. 
King of Wayne Co, $700 for 229 acres of land in Johnston on the north side of the 
Old Stage Road and east side of Wises Branch and adjacent to a stake in the old 
path Abram Martins gait, creek at the Rose house, Barney Grantham's corner, head 
of a small branch, run of Wises Branch, Stevens corner. Witnesses: Noel S. West, 
Abram Martin. Registered 24 May 1859.
