The Clayton Yellowjackets
The Weekly Standard of Raleigh, N. C.  of 5 June 1861

THE CLAYTON YELLOWJACKETS--We learn that a company by this name from Johnston 
County have tendered their services to the Governor and been accepted. The 
Company is now encamped at Clayton and numbers 71 men. The following are the 
officers: Captain: George W. Crockett; 1st Lieutenant: W. B. GULLEY; 2nd 
Lieutenant E. J. STALLINGS; 3rd Lieutenant: JAMES H. YOUNG; Orderly Sergeant: 
D.H. HUNNICUTT.
