John Wilson's widow, Patty Wilson, survived him but was deceased in 1855. Betty Wilson, the applicant, referred to her uncle William Wilson and his wife, Elizabeth Wilson. She stated that John Wilson was a soldier in Captain Walsh's Eighth regiment; that he entered the service January 1, 1777, for three years; and that he was a corporal in 1778. The mariage of John Wilson and Patty Davis took place September 14, 1785. The claim was rejected.
