He is a man of extraordinary "strong common sense," and tenacious memory -- a man of unusual cheerfulness. He has always been engaged in hard manual laabor, being in limited circumstances, works daily on his small farm which yields him a decent support for himself and aged wife. Truly might the old gentleman exclaim in the language of Shakespeare's Shepherd, "I am a true laborer. I earn that I eat, get that I wear; owe no man hate, envy no man's happiness and glad of other men's good." -- Fayetteville Observer File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/nc/johnston/newspapers/anextrao150nw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/ncfiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb
