Sept. 13, 1844   Charlotte Journal September 13, 1844
   There seems to be a great mortality among the members elect to the next 
Legislature. Besides MR. C. BRUMMELL of Davidson, three others have died, viz:
DR. LEVI WALKER of the Commons from Caswell, JAMES HARPER, ESQ., also of the 
Commons, from Greene County, and RANSOM SANDERS, ESQ., of the Senate, from 
Johnston County.
