The News & Observer - February 21, 1998
Anna Langdon Avera, 96, died Friday. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2
p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. Burial will be in Selma
Memorial Gardens.

Surviving are: two sons, James Avera of Elm City and John Avera of Wilson;
daughters, Mildred Bunn of Selma, Lorine Godwin of Tarboro, Lois Narron of
Selma, Pauline Godwin of Pikeville, Doris Brown of Micro, Peggy Weaver of Micro,
and Linda Williams of Rocky Mount; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and
three great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 7-9 p.m.
