Johnston County, NC - Obituaries File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Elton Cooke The Smithfield Herald, April 5, 1894 Two weeks ago we stated that Mr. J. B. Wall had committed sucicide. This occurred in Wilders Township at the home of his son-in-law Mr. J. H. A. Cook. Just two weeks from that hour, Mr. Cook killed himself with the same pistol. He was over at Clayton last Monday and was drinking. That evening he told his family what he expected to do and that they would find him in an old house nearby and requested that his body should not be washed or dressed. He told his family what he wanted done with the property he had.
